El extraño caso de Cynthia Witthoft puede ser considerado como una especia de Jekyll & Hyde moderno y en cuerpo de mujer.No solo por su personalidad,si no también por lo ecléctico de su musica,por el mito creciente,y por la ausencia casi completa de luz sobre el tema,Cynthia:Angel o Demonio? Cynthia nació en 1974,en Varsovia,Polonia,descendiente de un padre desertor del ejército alemán,cuando éste invade Polonia en el marco de la Segunda Guerra Mundial durante 1939,y madre polaca,ex-prostituta;algunos adjudican el pasado de sus padres como motivo excluyente del comportamiento futuro de Cynthia. Sus primeros contactos con la música se dieron de dos ex-compañeros del padre de la banda de aquel ejército alemán . Cynthia se crió mitad en su pais natal y mitad en Finlandia,lugar éste de refugio de algunos familiares maternos cuando huyeron de Polonia. Ya de adolescente mostró interés y habilidades como multi-instrumentista,(guitarra,bajo,piano y saxo);en 1989 se une a una tardía banda punk llamada Polish Zombies.Se dice que se unió al grupo no por interés en el movimiento punk,sino como un acto reaccionario.El grupo no realizó muchas presentaciones,y esta "gira" fue interrumpida cuando Cynthia cayó detenida por el robo de chocolates en un supermercado.Lógicamente éste suceso no iba a detener su carrera;aunque el episodio además de demostrar un carácter y una tenacidad muy marcada,también demostraría rasgos y trazos mas fuertes en alguna patología mas seria.

Paralelamente a ello,se produce el suicidio de su padre,quién decide terminar con su vida incendiándose con nafta en el garaje de su propia casa. Aquellas patologías rápidamente tomaron forma bajo la cleptomanía y la ninfomanía,también se dice que fue internada en un manicomio del cual salió muy distinta a como había ingresasdo,consigue nuevos integrantes para un nuevo proyecto y se muda con ellas,ya que eran unas amigas lesbianas,los detractores dicen que fue mas en relación a su carácter revoltoso y dado a los excesos,que por un motivo artístico y musical. Fue en esta época que se autodenominó como "La Ladrona",ya que improvisaba sobre temas "robados" a otros artístas;igualmente no progresaría mucho en en ese camino,ya que se cuenta,que en esa vivienda se usaban kilos de droga y se practicaban salvajes orgías semanales. Rápidamente se dió cuenta que debía grabar para proteger su música,y contrariamente a lo pensasdo mucha de su obra está llena de creaciones y pasajes que van desde lo virtuoso,pasando por lo delicado,y muchas veces rayano en la genialidad.Sus discos son casi imposibles de conseguir,lo cual alimenta el mito sobre cual es su entrada de dinero,la leyenda dice que se dedica a componer música y bandas sonoras para juegos de video,para los que utilizaría un seudónimo,que podría ser "Lenda",otros en cambio aseguran que es la propia Cynthia quién se esconde tras el de "Boato". Aquí también surge otro mito o discrepancia que es la ausencia de información oficial,ya que todo son supuestos,por ejemplo,como su blog,que en teoría está hecho por un fan,pero no son pocos los que aseguran que es ella misma. Siguiendo con su personalidad se rumorea que nunca mas fue vista fuera de su casa,alegando éste suceso a un severo ataque de pánico.Anteriormente solo realizó un concierto fuera de Europa y fue en Usa en el cual solo asistieron 30 personas e interpretó 6 temas. También existen versiones que durante 2006 fue nuevamente detenida,esta vez por seducir a una menor,lo cual es dificil de comprobar como "acoso",ya que mantenía relaciones con una pareja menor. Otras versiones hablan en demasía sobre la bisexualidad de Cynthia,y adicionan el hecho de que ha practicado la coprofilia. Jamás pareció importarle todo lo que le adjudican,y es más disfruta de esa reputación pero no ratifica ni retifica la supuesta veracidad de los hechos.

BIZARRA É APELIDO:Cynthia Witthoft? Ao menos o Zappa comia só as próprias fezes! Cynthia Witthoft começou sua carreira em meados de 1989, na Polônia, quando tinha apenas 14 para 15 anos. Vinda de uma família onde o pai alemão, desertor durante a Segunda Guerra, e a mãe, ex-prostituta polonesa, parece ter tido motivos familiares fortes para seu extravagante comportamento posterior. Talvez uma evidência ainda mais forte desses motivos familiares desestruturadores emocionais, ou do caráter, seja o fato de seu único irmão ser um dos primeiros transexuais da história.Cynthia Witthoft nasceu na capital polonesa em 1974 e pelo que se deduz teve desde tenra idade contato com músicos por seu pai ter sido um dos instrumentistas das bandas militares de Hitler. Vivendo entre a Polônia e a distante Finlândia, terra dos familiares maternos fugitivos durante a invasão da Polônia, talvez tenha sido nesse segundo país que teve os primeiros contatos com o rock pesado. Multi-instrumentista (guitarra, baixo, piano, saxofone) rendeu-se em 1989 ao movimento punk. Talvez por ideologia anarquista, talvez por pura algazarra, mas foi nessa época que fez os poucos shows de sua vida, tocando meia dúzia de acordes distorcidos e minimizando sua vocação para harmonias e solos mais elaborados. Isso "coincidentemente" aconteceu no mesmo ano em que seu pai cometeu suicídio incendiando-se com gasolina na garagem de casa: seus dois filhos tão problemáticos talvez tenha contribuído para seu ato radical.Após alguns meses detida para tratamento, Cynthia Witthoft saiu do manicômio muito mudada: a partir dali dispensaria dois integrantes da banda, iria morar com o terceiro deles e com este montar uma outra banda, junto a amigas homossexuais, para apenas atingir a moral e os valores éticos. Parece ter sido mais estimulada pela revolta, ou por alguma psicopatologia, do que por amor à música! Assumiu-se "ladra" - como gosta de ser chamada - e passou a roubar músicas de qualquer um, a usar quilos de drogas e promover em seu apartamento orgias semanais.Parece que seu ganho nunca veio de fato de seus cds cheio de roubos, mas também criações geniais e virtuosas, conta-se que seu verdadeiro ganha-pão vem de músicas que faz para video games, adotando vários pseudônimos. Lenda? Boato? Não se sabe! O que realmente se sabe é que nunca mais foi vista fora de casa, alegando Síndrome do Pânico, e em seu único show fora da Europa, nos Estados Unidos, não tocou mais do que seis músicas mesmo tendo fechado a bilheteria para no máximo meras 30 pessoas. Recentemente, 2006, foi novamente detida, dessa vez por "sedução de uma menor". Há comentários, e não é tão difícil de se achar, de que ela não só mantinha relações sexuais com a menor como tinha o hábito de ingerir as fezes dela: coprofilia (pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coprofilia). Formed in 1989 by Cynthia "A." Witthoft (guitars) and her future husband Janusz P. Kowalczyk (guitars, keyboard) “Cynthia Witthoft & The Polish Zombies” - with Jubilerski Zakład (bass) and Herman Malarsko (drums) - began their infernal shows and with a big laugh their first vinyl EP was recorded as a tribute to punk moviment. After two years of serious rehearsing "Cynthia Witthoft & The Polish Zombies" was ready to record their first album. With full force the band entered some studio in Finland in the year of 1991. Containing 48 tracks of atypical and furious hardcore "Burns Guitar" was appreciated by punkers and metal fans. Since the beginning Cynthia exhibited bizarre habits: kleptomania and ninphomania. In the year of 1992, Cynthia began with her Psychotherapeutic medications to this “mental illness”. One year later she began her solo career with two lesbian and musician friends: Renata Młodszy and Anna Murawska.

"Cynthia Witthoft is beautiful and a good guitar player, she's a "thief" too but it's ok, I'm not a music composer and I think there's just her "propaganda": I don't know! So, what do you think makes a good guitar player when a told? The ability to play a million notes a second or being able to play something that sounds beautiful, no matter the speed? I'm not impressed when I hear someone shred or watch them do it, am I alone in this? I'd much rather hear a solo that just sounds fantastic rather than a thousand notes mashed into a few seconds or minutes of super-fast playing. So, is it the ability to play something that sounds good, or the ability to play a million notes a second? Cynthia Witthoft, (between robberies?), is a sensibility guitar composer with very interesting songs."

Cynthia Witthoft: The Libertine Woman

"Thief Woman"; "Deceitful"; "Kleptomaniac"; "Lesbian", these are adjectives used for Cynthia Witthoft. I haven´t created this site to defend her character or reputation, the adjectives are true! Someone said: "she loves her bad reputation and makes everything to get worse!" So, every defense will be against her.
Once she does not leave home at all, in order to , at least, try to clear her image, she really matches the profile described and keeps going in her left path.
In Poland she appears once or twice a year and some more losen shows in Finland but, it was in the USA where she had a show for about 30 people once she cannot afford more than this because of her Panic Syndrome.
She plays wonderfully but her fame came not from this virtue but from the drastic habit of take for herself many songs, solos and rhythms by others.
You can be invited to take part of a hot celebration in her flat full of alcohol, drugs, orgy and MUSIC !!! Yes, plenty nice, crazy and awesome music. Can u risk?

This same region spawned other hardcore and metal greats.Born into a musical family (but daughter of a prostitute), Cynthia began playing guitar and bass at age 5, and showed an early interest in many rock styles. In 1989 at age 15, she started a progressive punk band called Polish Zombies; in 1993 she began her solo career.
